As a fellow openmoko owner and occasional hacker, I can't wait myself. I
try not to spend too much time hacking on it however, given that LinuxPMI
needs my time.

If thats what you're working toward, I would recommend helping openmoko
get all their changes into the 2.6.28.7 kernel, and their QEMU 
modifcations into QEMU. Then I'd recomend stepping up and working on the
platform-specific code in LinuxPMI to add ARM support, as we don't have
it yet.

I'm using the SHR distro myself.
